Hello. My name is….

Posted Monday, November 3, 2008, at 11:15 AM

Hey ya'll! My name is Jinger Francis Stacy. I'm 29 years old and have lived in Trumann all of my life. I have TWO wonderful men in my life, Shawn, my best friend and true love, and my son, my baby boy, Talon Kade. Talon is two years old and he is my whole world! Gosh, it's amazing how different your outlook on life becomes after having a child. It's no longer about you: it's all about them, and if it's not that way, well, you need to check your priorities.

I guess I'm getting old. The other day someone asked me, "What are you doing Saturday night?" When I look back on my reply I think gosh, I sounded like a dork! I told them I would probably sit in the recliner and read Good Housekeeping or Woman's Day, while Shawn watched football and Talon watched Cars for the ten millionth time. But you know what, (yes I started a sentence with a conjunction), I wouldn't have it any other way.

Next on the agenda is Christmas. So do you all feel the same way I do? With the way the economy is right now, I'm buying for the little ones in my family and that's it. Isn't Christmas supposed to be about spending time with your family, eating (my favorite part), and most importantly, Jesus' birthday??!! It just seems like people, including myself, get so wrapped up in what to buy for this person and worrying if they will like it, that we tend to forget the true meaning of this holiday. Let's not stress about it this year folks. I know, easier said than done. I can honestly say that last year I spent less money on buying gifts than ever before and it was the best Christmas yet!

Well, I guess I'm finished gushing about how I'm such a "thrill seeker". If you didn't get anything out of this blog, please, at least remember this: The happiest people don't have it all. They just make the best with what they've got!

Until next time my friends, don't forget to spay and neuter your pets! :)

It is strange how your life changes after you have children, the things you loved to do in high school now seem like such a waste of time. My favorite thing to do on Saturday nights is to stay home and get caught up on General Hospital and the laundry!

I hear ya about Christmas. I am going to try to only spend the amount of my Christmas Club and nothing extra. My kids, 13 and 11, couldn't think of hardly anything they wanted b/c they already have most everything. I think we need to focus on more giving this year, and I don't mean to each other.

Anyway, glad to see a new blog on here, keep them coming!

You both are so right. I am raising my 2 grandsons due to neglect from my ex-son in law.alot of people will say and have said its not right for grandparents to have to raise grandkids well for those people.is it right for me to walk away just because its not right. When a child is in need how can anyone turn their back on them. That i will never do . They need me more now than ever. With everything those babies went through. They have rights to be loved fed, bathed, and so on and as long as i have a breath in me they will have all of the above

Thank you. I really dont consider myself special but i do admit i feel special at times. I wonder at times how i got so lucky to have the chance of being a mom and nana. But special no . Maybe the luckiest woman on earth.there are so many children out there being abused, neglected. If i had i wish it would be that all children would be loved as much as i love mine.thank you so much for your reply. I love this sight. God bless everyone. Especially chidren.
