The Trumann Fine Arts Council held their 4th annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner Thursday, July 14. "The evening was fun and a great success," Letha Owens, President of the Fine Arts Council, said. Celebrities included Donald Trump (Rick Gillette), Arkansas number one winning fishermen (Ronnie Harrison), Scarlett and Rhett Butler (Mayor Shelia Walters and Tom Martin), Africa's greatest hunter (Gary Russell), New York chef (Jackie Ross), Poinsett master gardener (Fonda Condra, along with helpers from Harrisburg) and the greatest Arkansas Razorback fullback (Tim Bufford). The Best Waiter award went to Rick Gillette, playing Donald Trump. It was also Gillette's birthday, so his table sang and wished him a "Happy Birthday". "We had a lot of help from Harrisburg and Marked Tree," Owens said. The music for the night was provided by the Bill Pickin' Barn band. Susan Greenwell made the food, which included a salad, pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. The Fine Arts Council has done many projects to help bring music, drama and art to the city of Trumann. All of the money raised from the banquet will go towards hosting fine art projects such as recitals, art exhibits, drawing workshops and plays.
