Sharron Turman took the job as full-time recreational coordinator for the Trumann Sports Complex on Jan. 1, 2002. She was introduced to the job through her participation in the American Softball Association (ASA) as a deputy commissioner. She along with Virginia Pittman, ASA district commissioner; Lou Pruitt, Junior Olympic commissioner for District 1 and Mark Hughes, the district umpiring chief were asked to speak to the Trumann Sports Advisory Commission about the benefits of playing under the ASA.. ...
