Aline Mae Carter, a Marked Tree resident for 63 years, celebrated her 101st birthday Tuesday, March 15. Born in Craighead County in 1910, Mrs. Carter married C.R. Carter in 1927. They moved to Marked Tree around 1948. C.R. Carter died in 2007, two weeks before his 102nd birthday. They were married for 83 years...

The Marked Tree Police Department and the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office arrested a local man after finding drugs and child pornography.
