Jerry James Perry

Jerry James Perry, 69, of Memphis, TN, formerly of

Marked Tree, passed away on December 4 at his home.

He was born in Grudon, AR to the late Henry and

Arletha Perry on April 20, 1932. He was a

self-employed car salesman and mechanic.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Perry of the home;

three daughters, Betty Perry Walker of Memphis, TN,

Katherine Perry Jones of Hot Springs, AR, and

Clementine Perry Paige of Marked Tree; two sons,

Dewayne Perry of Sherwood, AR and David Perry of

Conway, AR; four sisters, Opal Perry of Marked Tree,

Margaret Perry Adams and Maudie Perry Green both of

South Bend, IN, Dorothy Perry Gilmore of Utica, NY;

three brothers, Albert Perry of Utica, NY, Clayborn

Perry and Leon Perry, both of Chicago, IL; 16

grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host

of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends,

including Rosetta Perry of Marked Tree. Funeral services

were held on December 8, 2001 at the Anderson Chapel

M.B. Church with Rev. Reginald Taylor officiating.

Burial was held at the Riverview Cemetery, under the

direction of Sims-Woodard Funeral Service. He was

preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jerry L.

Perry, four brothers, and one sister: R.C. Perry,

Henry L. Perry, Cleopha Perry, Robert Perry, and

Alberta Perry Wood.
