Delbert Lee Milton
Delbert Lee Milton, 75, died Sunday, June 16, 2002 at his residence in Wynne.
He was a mechanic at the former Murray Chevrolet in Wynne for over 35 years before retiring. He was of the Assembly of God faith. He was born July 7, 1926 in Colt. He was a resident of Wynne for most of his life and as a young person was a resident of Colt. He was married March 3, 1945 to the former Miss Doris Jean Dennis. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working as long as health permitted.
The funeral was Tuesday, June 18 at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne. Brother Robert Melton of Forrest City officiated the ceremony. Place of interment was at the Loughridge Cemetery in Colt.
Honorary pallbearers were: Carl Blackwell, Steve Cupples, Danny Davis, Billy Fowler, Glenn Fowler, Bobby Johnson, Steve South and Trent Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Milton of Wynne; three sons, Delbert Dewayne "Bert" Milton of Marked Tree, Marion Brian Milton of Wynne and Rodney Carrol Milton of Wynne; two daughters, Linda McClain of Lonoke and Darlene Cummings of Wynne; two sisters, Mary Wilson and Brenda Rushing, both of Wynne; two brothers, Elbert Milton of Forrest City and Curtis "Jr." Milton of Colt; 10 grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Cross County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
