No new leads in Gill disappearance

Thursday, August 29, 2002

There have very few leads in the last week into the disappearance of a 15-year old Tyronza girl. Jennifer Ann Gill was last seen at a Marked Tree car wash on Aug. 17.

Her family contacted law enforcement later that day and family and friends began the search. Poinsett County Sheriff Larry Mills told the Tribune last week that interviews were conducted Thursday and Friday in the area.

Sheriff Mills also said that the Little Rock office of the Federal Bureau of Investigations was contacted last Thursday and that he asked for their help in the investigation. Mills also added that bad weather hampered the search last weekend, but that the PCSD continued their investigation, following up with leads.

Gill was last seen driving her 2002 black Ford Mustang, with Arkansas license plate number 661 FXZ.

Anyone with information on Jennifer Gill's disappearance should contact the Arkansas State Police at 870-935-7302, the Poinsett County Sheriff's Department at 870-578-5411 or the Tyronza Police Department at 870-487-2168.
