Tyronza City Council hears about water plans
In a short meeting Tuesday night, the Tyronza City Council heard an update on the issue of a water system improvement project and its effect on the town. City Attorney Noyl Houston stated in the meeting that he has spoken to individuals involved in the work on the water tank, both in engineering and in funding. Houston also stated that a public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 10, to address the issue in full. Officials dealing with the water project will be on hand to answer questions from residents.
In other action, the council:
*voted 4-0 to approve both the minutes and financial statement for the month of Oct. 2002.
*heard from council member Michael Hood, who addressed the issue of police cars staying inside the Tyronza city limits. Council members, along with Mayor Drexel Gill, stated that it was the first that they had heard about the issue and that the issue would be looked into.
