Scott Womack

Scott Womack, 83, of Marked Tree, died on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro.

A Farmer and former foreman for the Marked Tree Tribune, Womack was of the Baptist faith, a WWII Army veteran, Mason and member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Rheba Gray of Marked Tree; one son, Gary Womack of Heber Springs; one daughter, Melica Sanders of Bartlett, Tenn.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Marked Tree with Rev. David Shepard officiating. Burial followed at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion with Larry Scott Goodwin, Alton Womack, Wade Martin, Larry Neal, Ricky Gray and Richard Sanders serving as pallbearers.

A visitation was held Sunday, May 11, 2003 from 3 -- 6 p.m. Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree had charge of the arrangements.
