Guy Hardesty

Guy Hardesty, 63, of Marked Tree, formerly of Blytheville, died Friday, July 4, 2003 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

Born in Armorel, he was a 1958 graduate of Blytheville High School. He worked for American Greetings and Montgomery Ward and was owner and operator of Hardesty's Arts and Crafts.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wagner Hardesty; one daughter, Teresa Corneil of Athens, Ala.; one son, Brian Hardesty of West Fork; five sisters, Betty Wade, Carolyn Deichman and Sherry Mahan, all of Blytheville, Robert Reda of Montgomery, Ala., and Judy Kegley of Witchita, Kan.; and five grandchildren, Jordan Corneil, Carter Corneil, Zachary Hardesty, Colton Hardesty and Shea Hardesty.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7 at Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville, with Johnny Richardson and Eugene Bruce Sr. officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation was held at the funeral home.
