Lillian Phillips

Lillian Phillips, 83, of Osceola died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher and was on the mother board.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley D. Phillips of Osceola; one sister, Lillie M. Willis of Chicago; one brother, Richard Clay of Chicago; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Phillips, and her parents, James and Mamie Carthan.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Osceola, with the Rev. Cleavland Cain officiating. Burial followed at Whiteside Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
