Jeffery "Brother" Lane Spears Jr.

Jeffery "Brother" Lane Spears Jr., 20, of Joiner died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003 near Pocahontas.

He was a Baptist and a 2001 graduate of Rivercrest High School. He was also a graduate of Arkansas Fire Academy and a volunteer fireman for the Dalton Fire Department.

Survivors include his parents, Jeffery Lane Spears Sr. and Dian Spears; his grandparents, Raymond and Anita Hardage of Dalton and Paul and Alice Spears of Joiner; one sister, Jennifer Spears of Joiner; and one brother, Scott Spears of Joiner.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola, with Bob Alston officiating. Burial followed in Asburn-Musick-Bassett Cemetery at Bassett.

Active pallbearers were friends and family. Visitation was held at the funeral home.
