W. C. "Pop" Brewer

W. C. "Pop" Brewer, 68, of Osceola died of respiratory failure Saturday, April 10 at Baptist Hospital in Osecola.

Brewer, formerly of Joiner, was a retired factory worker and a resident of Mississippi County for over ten years. He was a member of Jesus Name Fellowship Church in Memphis.

Brewer was preceded in death by his wife Zelma Brewer, his daughter Gloria Brewer Barnes and his parents.

Survivors include two daughters: Sarah Peoples of Marion and Vickie Dugan of Buras, La.; four sons: Terry Alexander of Memphis, Jimmy Brewer of Atoka, Tenn., Michael Brewer of Buras, La. and Jay Knighton of Columbus, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13 in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Elder James Rye officiating. Burial followed at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.
