Russell Brittain Ryals

Russell Brittain Ryals, 47, of Mountain View died Friday, May 14. Born in Memphis, Tenn., Ryals was a diesel Mechanic and attended a Church of Christ church.

He was survived by his wife, Julia Pritchett Ryals; one brother: Tim Ryals of Muskogee, Okla.; three sisters: Lynn Pirani of Clarksdale, Luann Jones of Little Rock and Amy Armstrong of Jacksonville; and two stepchildren: Hunter Rosamond and Tessa Rosamond, both of Mountain View.

Ryals was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Melton Ryals and Barbara Brittain Ryals.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View with Frank Curtis officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Paul Overbeck, Cochise Cerna, Jeff Bell, Ed Bell, Brent Bell, Tim Ryals, Brent Ruminer and Joel LuRue. Hunter Rosamond served as an honorary pallbearer.
