Born in Tennessee, he was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Marked Tree and was a retired salesman.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Pullen and Olive Diane Westbrooks, both of Lepanto, Shelia Watts of Manila and Linda Pearl Humphrey of Denver City, Texas; three sons, Roger Dale Sipes of Dyess, Samuel R. Sipes Jr. of Dexter, Mo., and Danny Sipes of Denver City; two sisters, Ruth Ann Rile of Lonoke and Liddie Manning of Missouri; two brothers, Leonard Sipes and Charles "David" Sipes of Marked Tree; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dusty Sipes and Olive Tacker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial followed in Potters Cemetery in Lepanto.
