John Leon Turner

John Leon Turner, 59, of Lepanto died on Monday, August 2 at his residence.

A lifetime resident of Lepanto, he was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a retired Arkansas State Policeman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie Turner.

Survivors include one daughter: Cindy Hood of Lepanto; two sons: Michael Turner of Lepanto and Christopher Turner of Springdale; one sister: Pearl Dollar of Lepanto; one half-sister: Katie Ruth Sprouse of Watervalley, Miss.; two brothers: Bill Turner of Pontotoc, Miss. and Kurron Turner of Lepanto; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Brother Jim Duffel officiating. Burial will follow in Potter's Cemetery in Lepanto.
