He was a member of Revival Center Pentecostal Church of Lepanto.
Survivors include three half sisters: Frankie Mathis and Madline Flippo, both of Corinth, Miss., and Johnnie Lou Peters of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren: Kevin Wright, Dana Brown and Tarra Holt, all of Lepanto; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Wright, and a son, Gerald Wright.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13 at Revival Center Pentecostal Church, with Ken Bass officiating. Burial followed in Potter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home of Lepanto. .
