Ella Griffin, 93, of Trumann died Oct. 10 at the Trumann Health and Rehab Center in Trumann of natural causes. Griffin, a member of the First Baptist Church of Marked Tree was born in Prentiss County, Miss. and had lived in Trumann for the past 39 years. She was a retired store manager for Lucky Dollar Store. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Payne of Trumann, a sister, Maria Boren of Memphis, a brother-in-law, Marion Boren of Memphis and a brother, W.C. Fraser of Louisville, Ky. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Griffin, three children, one great-grandchild, three sisters, one brother and her parents.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial followed at Marked Tree Cemetery, with Richard Griffin, Thomas Griffin, Steven Griffin, David Griffin, Dana Griffin, Joe Griffin, Tony Sherrod, Patrick Griffin, Nate Poyne and Ben Payne. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Cook, Bob Redden, Clint Crowe and Dr. Floyd Smith. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in Trumann or to the charity of your choice.
