Bernis B. Franks

Bernis B. Franks, 84, of Tyronza died Thursday, Dec. 2, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

He attended First Baptist Church of Tyronza and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Clara Jane Franks of the home; three sons, Bernis A. Franks of West Memphis, Terry Lynne Franks of Bellevue, Neb., and Steve W. Franks of Tyronza; two daughters, Linda M. Armstrong of Trumann and Lisa Davis of Marion; a sister, Naomi Albritton of Baker, La.; two brothers, Claude Franks of Millageville, Tenn., and James Franks of Arlington, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin H. and Lessie Gann Franks.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Tyronza First Baptist Church, with Raymond Routon officiating. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Pallbearers were Tim Craig, Joe Boon, Ronnie Dye, Mark Franks, Michael Blagg and Ronnie Armstrong.

Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
