James F. Booth

James F. Booth, 85, of Smyrna died March 16 at his home.

A native resident of Poinsett County, he was the son of the late James B. and Alpha Stewart Booth.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18 at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Burial followed in Mapelview Cemetery with Dr. Ross Maroney, Sr. officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Hubbard Booth; two sons: Michael Booth and wife Ann of Brentwood and Phillip and wife Gwen of Murfreesboro; one daughter: Rena Baker of Memphis; his sister-in-law, Jeanne Spivey of Virginia; and four grandchildren: Amanda, Chris, Dawson and Phillip Michael Booth.

Booth was a member of the Stones River Baptist Church and served in the US Air Corp. during WWII. He was a retired parts manager and purchasing agent.
