Herbert Eugene Standfield

Herbert Eugene Standfield, 70, of Davenport, Fla. died March 12 at Auburndale Respite Center in Auburndale, Fla.

Herbert was a longtime resident of Marked Tree and a retired farmer before he moved to Florida several years ago.

He is survived by two children: Eugene Standfield of Florida and Rhonda Hawkins of Marked Tree; one sister: Sara Towle of Joplin, Mo.; one brother: Calvin Standfield of Kansas City, Ks.; four grandchildren: Wade, Clint, Nikki and Eric Hawkins, all of Marked Tree; and 1 great grandson: Cainan Hawkins of Marked Tree.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glinda Standfield; one daughter, Velda Mae Standfield; his parents Willie and Ottis Standfield and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Standfield was cremated and graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2 where he was laid to rest at Marked Tree Cemetery.
