He was a farmer.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Chambers of Morrilton; his father, Amos Chambers Sr. of Payneway; four sisters, Kathy O'Neal and Alice Herren, both of West Memphis, Nola Stow of Lebanon, Mo., and Marie Barr of Valdosta, Ga.; a brother, Amos Chambers Jr. of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Chambers.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6 in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home of Marked Tree, with Ruth Wade officiating. Burial followed in Bolivar Cemetery at Harrisburg.
Pallbearers included Mike Herren Jr., Lou Barr, Amos Chambers III, Mike Herren Sr., Marvin Stow and Jimmy Barr.
