Jack Kyle, 69, of Fort Smith died Thursday, Sept. 8.

He was born in Poinsett County and was the plant manager for the H.J. Baker company and a member of Abundant Life church in Sallisaw, Okla. He was a former cotton plantation manager at Hughes, gas plant manager in Nacogdoches, Texas, and retired from Tyson Foods in Van Buren in 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Delois Andrews Kyle of the home; four daughters, Melissa Davis and Donna Rye of Van Buren, Kelly Arnold of Hackett and Kathy Walker of Fort Smith; three sons, Jason Kyle of Lonoke, Mike Thomas of Fort Smith and Marvin Thomas of Pocola, Okla.; a sister, Kay Luter of Paragould; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Edith Davis Kyle, and a daughter, Crystal Wilson.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Agent Funeral Home at Sallisaw, Okla., with the Rev. Fred Oates officiating. Burial followed in the Akins Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Kyle, James Rye, Brad Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Wesley Booker and Shane Lamont.
