Lisa Simmons, 47, of Etowah died Wednesday, Oct. 5 at her home.
She was born July 22, 1958 at Harrisburg the daughter of Jimmy Dean and Barbara Owens Dean.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Neal's Chapel Baptist Church at Bonsville.
She married Clayton Simmons on Feb. 14, 1988 and they enjoyed 17 years together. Some of her hobbies included spending time with her family and making quilts. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Dean. She is survived by her husband Clayton Simmons of Etowah; her mother, Barbara Owens Dean of Harrisburg; one son, Michael Kain of Manila; three daughters; Sara Simmons of Manila; Lorrie Bogard of Harrisburg, and Erica Stewart of Trumann; and three grandchildren: Kara Reeves, Brett Reeves and Zachary Bogard of Harrisburg.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at the Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg with Reverend Roy Kellum officiating. Internment followed in Tyronza Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Travis Senter, Robert Fountain, Jamie Fountain, Joey Bogard, Steve Tacker and Chris Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers were Jerome Simmons, Dennis Tacker and Jimmy Carl King.
