Eula Holt

Eula Holt, 59, of Gilmore died Sunday, Oct. 16 at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Holt was a member of the Tyronza Church of Christ and the Jones Connection Relay for Life. She was a postmaster at Gilmore post office and a third generation employee of the Gilmore post office. Holt also served as an alderman on the city council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence D. Jones and Martha Poston Jones.

Survivors include her husband, W.V. Holt Jr. of Gilmore, two sons: Victor Holt of Jonesboro and James Holt of Tyronza; three sisters: Christine Sullivan of Imboden, etta Mae Horton of Marion and Roberta Shankle of Hardy; five brothers: Henry Jones of Jackson, Tenn., David Jones of Harrisburg, Daniel Jones of Batesville, Miss., Dale Jones of Crawfordsville and Walter Jones of Marion; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the chapel of Roller Citizen Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Bowers and Bro. Larry Bankston officiating. Burial followed in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Memorials may be made to the Sardis Lake Christian Camp.
