Roxie Mildred Rice

Roxie Mildred Rice, 77, of Lepanto died Monday, Feb. 6 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Judy Rice; her parents; one sister; three brothers; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Otis Rice of the home; one son, James Otis Rice of Lepanto; two daughters, Helen Merill of Caraway and Jean Stezowski of Coloma, Mich.; four brothers: Irvin Davis of Caraway, Winford "Buster" Davis of Leacheville, Benjamin Davis of Lepanto and Roger Davis of Corinth, Miss.; five sisters: Charlene Lawson of Gosnell, Lola Woodard of Matthews, Mo., Etta Helms of Lepanto, Willajean Evans of Kesier and Barbara Davis of Searcy; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Feb. 7 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Bass officiating. Burial followed in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
