He was born June 24, 1918 in Florence, Ala. He was a retired farmer, veteran of the Army serving in WWII and the Korean War and he was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Brown, Annie White; six sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary Miller Brown of Marked Tree; two daughters, Geraldine Tripe of Pine Bluff and Frances Clemmons of Florence, Ala.; two sons, Charles Brown of Giddings, Tex. And Ray Brown of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; one sister, Myrtle Brown of Brookhaven, Miss.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the Upper Roan Apostolic Church in Tyronza with Bro. Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial followed at Gibson Bayou Cemetery in Earle.
