Keiser man dies in Lepanto car crash

A fatal accident in Lepanto Monday afternoon claimed the life of a Kesier man. Billy Pannell was traveling south on Highway 140 in Lepanto in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck.

According to a fatal crash summary issued by the Arkansas State Police, Pannell crossed the center line and struck a 2001 Freightliner semi truck driven by Joseph Guth of Trumann. Pannell, who was reported to not been wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

Guth, who was wearing a seat belt, did not sustain any injuries, according to the report.
