Jonathan Lewis (Jon) Tyler

Jonathan Lewis (Jon) Tyler, age 31, of Lepanto died Tuesday, December 12. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lepanto. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Tuggle Tyler in 2001 and his paternal grandfather, Otis Tyler. He was an avid duck and deer hunter.

Survivors include his father, Mitchell Tyler of Lepanto; his paternal grandmother, Irene Taylor of Lepanto and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Frances Tuggle of Lepanto.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 13 at the First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 14 at First Baptist Church with Jim Duffel and Ken Bass officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Dirlam, Shane Dirlam, Johnny Jennings, Steve Tyler, Damon Tyler, Michael Tyler, Ronnie Blain, Ceto Simms and Keith Tyler. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Meeks, Robin Neal, Jeremy Gordon, Carson Tyler, Adam Robertson, Ty Tyler, Jimmy Warren and Jimmy Meeks.

Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Life Center.
