George Willard Vaughn

George Willard Vaughn, 86, of Lepanto died Sunday at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree. He was a member of the Lepanto Church of Christ and the American Legion Lamb and Hendrix Post #26. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II, having served in Company C, 358th Infantry, U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Vaughn. Survivors include two sons, Price Bridges of Lepanto and Don Vaughn of Lake Village; three daughters, Sue Marshal of Jonesboro, Jan Brimingham and Judy Blocker of Lepanto; two brothers, Ellon Vaughn of Lake Village and Jimmy Vaughn of Monterey, Louis.; two sisters, Nell Osmon of Flint, Mich. and Betty Thorton of Jonesboro, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday February 12 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with G. W. Allison officiating. Burial followed at Potter Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
