Jasper "Bud" Bivens Jr.

Jasper "Bud" Bivens, Jr., 82, of Williford died Friday, Feb. 24 at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

Formerly of Tyronza, he was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ in Hardy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Bivens, and one son, Jasper Bivens.

Survivors include two sons: George Bivens and wife Janet of Memphis, Tenn. and Larry Bivens and wife Beverly of Bartlett, Tenn.; four daughters: Sue Parker and husband Mike of Cordova, Tenn., Betty Pickens and husband Mike of Olive Branch, Miss., Debbie Powers and husband Bill of Lakeland, Tenn. and Cindy Gourley of Bartlett, Tenn.; one brother: Harry Bivens of Collierville, Tenn.; three sisters: Jewel Grantham and Christine King, both of Marion, and Omego Scott of Mountain Home; 12 grandchildren: Daniel Parker, Jason Bivens, Jarrod Bivens, Lauren Bivens, Katie Peritore, Joseph Pickens, Amanda Pickens, Jessica Bivens, Rhiannon Gourley, Jenny Gourley, Dusty Powers and Kristina Powers; and one great-grandson, Ethan Gourley.

Services were Monday, Feb. 26 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Marked Tree. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery.
