George Harold "Joe" Ford

George Harold "Joe" Ford, 63, of Marked Tree died Monday, March 5 at his residence. Born on July 4, 1943 in Tyronza, Ford was a brick mason, served in the Army Reserve and was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

Ford was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Watson; his sister, Ruth Ford and his brothers, Charles Ford, Carrell Ford, Kenneth Ford and Don Ford.

He is survived by his father, George W. Ford of Trumann; his wife, Jane Ford of Marked Tree; one daughter, Janice Carpenter of Marked Tree; two sons, Joey C. Ford of Marked Tree and James H. Ford of Harrisburg; one son-in-law, Tracy Carpenter of Marked Tree; two daughters-in-law, Stephanie Ford of Marked Tree and Angie Ford of Harrisburg; one sister, Norma Sue Pendergrass of Lexington, Tenn.; one brother-in-law, Gary Pendergrass of Lexington, Tenn. and four grandchildren, Jamie Ford, Brandon Morgan, Bethany Ford and Amber Ford all of Marked Tree.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 6 from 6 -- 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro.
