Floramae Strange Kent

Floramae Strange Kent, 71, of Marion, formerly of Marked Tree, died on Saturday, May 26 at her residence. She was of the Baptist belief and preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Eugene (Buddy) Kent.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane Leach of Marion and Loretta Walker of Marked Tree; five brothers, Thomas Strange of Hickory Ridge, Gene Strange of Payneway, Charles Strange of Marked Tree, Jimmy Strange of Searcy and Ricky Strange of Trumann; six sisters, Edith Phillips and Gladys Wilson both of Marked Tree, Mary Alice Kelly of Lake Village, Linda Anderson and Joyce Adams both of Trumann and Audrey Sanders of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree with Patrick Tucker officiating. Active pallbearers were Donald Blagg, Michael Blagg, Gene Strange, Jr., Charles Strange, Jr., Eddie Privett and Ricky Strange, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Darrell Broadway, Tommy Brashears, Aubrey Ratton and Jason Wilson. Burial followed in Marked Tree Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
