Johnny Wayne Byrd

Johnny Wayne Byrd, 56, of Byhalia, Miss., formerly of Tyronza and Marked Tree, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 7, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, Miss., with interment to follow in Southwoods Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.

Byrd was a construction worker, and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fixing up old cars, and fishing. He was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna K. Byrd, and his sister, Mildred Grant. He is survived by his wife, Mindy Byrd; step-children, Andrea Taylor, Trent Myers, Bobby Myers, Jessica Whitten, Sheala Whitten and Tyler Whitten; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mary White, Gladys Fain, Mary Duncan, Jane Hillard, and Betty Green; 3threebrothers, Van D. Woosley, James F. White, and Billy Gene Byrd; numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved him very much; and a very dear friend, Carol Miles.
