He was a member of Praise Assembly of God in Little Rock and an Army Veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Cordelia Collins, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Artie Mae Presley Collins of the home; one son, Don R. Collins of Knoxville, Tenn.; three daughters, Judy A. Caldarera of Little Rock, Peggy J. Clements of Surprise, Ariz., Robyn Luff of Olive Branch, Miss.; one brother, James Collins of Marked Tree, three sisters, Faye Holt of Harrisburg, Geneva Smith of Pocahontas, Sara Simmons of Marked Tree, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday, July 27, at Marked Tree Cemetery. Reverend Robert Perry officiated. Murphy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
