Daundra Annette Proffitt Carlton died Sunday, Sept. 16, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 19, 1964 at Oates Clinic in Lepanto. She was a life-long resident of Dyess. She graduated from Dyess/Rivercrest Public Schools in 1982 and was a graduate of Cotton Boll Vocational Technical School in Marked Tree.

She was a partner in Patricia's Style Shop in Lepanto. She was a member and Sunday School teacher of the Dyess Central Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian June (Claude) Proffitt.

She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Guy Dwayne Carlton and beloved sons, Bryce Evan Proffitt and Clayton Arron Hollis Carlton; her father, Billy Wilkins Proffitt of Craighead Nursing Center; three brothers, David Waymon Proffitt and wife Lyn of Mobile, Ala., Dr. Danny Lynn Proffitt and wife Anita of Fayetteville, and Dawayne Preston Proffitt and wife Kathy of Jonesboro; two beloved sisters, Darlene Young Richmond of Dyess and Dametra Carol Hodges and husband Kevin of Jonesboro. She also leaves 12 nieces and nephews, Stacey Jernigan of Birmingham, Ala, Lori Sarver of Jackson, Miss., Marty Calhoun of Dallas, David, John and Andrew Proffitt of Fayetteville, Alison and Reid Richmond of Dyess, Jennifer Erwin of Aurora, Colorado, and Kelsie, Dalton and Jenna Hodges of Jonesboro.

The family received visitors at Eastside Baptist Church in Osceola on Monday, Sept. 17. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Eastside Baptist Church. Burial was in Potter's Cemetery in Lepanto.

Following the burial, the family welcomed guests at a luncheon at Dyess Central Baptist Church.
