Charles G. "Chili" McDaniel, Sr., 80, died Sept. 28, 2007, at his home in Tyronza.

He was a retired heating and air maintenance man of Tyronza. McDaniel was also a U.S. Navy veteran, retired founder and fireman of Tyronza Fire Department, charter member of the Tyronza Hunting Club and a member of the Tyronza First Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son and his wife, Mark and Melody McDaniel of Tyronza; his care givers, Sandy Aker, Janis Drace, Carolyn Birdsong, Cathy Ford and Cathy Fox; his grandchildren, Stacey Andres and Stephanie Kock both of Floyds Knob, Ind., Greg McDaniel of Marked Tree, Matt McDaniel of Tifton, Ga., and Justus McDaniel of Tyronza; and one great grandchild, Alyssa McDaniel of Marked Tree.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 1 at the Tyronza Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Barton, Hank Emrich, Lonnie Wyatt, Vance McDaniel, Mike Hood and Billy Hood. Honorary pallbearers were R.D. Gill and Sonny Justus.

Memorials can be made at the First Baptist Church in Tyronza.
