Glen Evert Perkins Sr., 89, of Monticello passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at his home.

He was born Sept. 8, 1918 in Tyronza to the late Charles Oliver Perkins and Minnie Lillard Perkins. He was a farmer and owner of Perkins Farm Supply, a U.S. Army and Air Force Veteran of WWII and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a 1950 graduate of U of A at Fayetteville, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture.

Survivors include his wife, Era Mae (Billie) Cline Perkins of Monticello; one son, Glen Perkins, Jr. of Monticello; two daughters, Diane Perkins of Vancouver, B.C., and Rebecca Williams of Monticello; two brothers, Leo Perkins of Memphis, Tenn., and Chester Perkins of Marked Tree; one sister, Eva Jean Burroughs of Tallahassee, Fla.; two grandsons, Michael Williams and wife, Tiffany Pace Williams of Tacoma, Wash. and Thomas Evert Williams of Springdale.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Marked Tree Church of God.
