Clarence E. "Red" Jensen

Clarence E. "Red" Jensen, 90, of Lepanto died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Crittenden Regional Hospital in West Memphis.

He served his country during World War II in the Army 28th Ordnance Maintenance Company for two and one-half years in Europe and the Philippines. He received the World War II Victory Ribbon Good Conduct Medal, EAME Theater Ribbon, four Bronze Service Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the AP Theater Ribbon.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Loudean Jensen of the home; one son, Jack Hutson and wife Cindy of Cordova, Tenn.; granddaughter, Traci Sipniewski and husband, Matt, of Huber Heights, Ohio; granddaughter, Kristi Larose and husband, Daniel, of Bartlett, Tenn.; great-grandson, Jack Thomas Sipniewski; and special friend (his other son), John Henderson of Lepanto.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon-2 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 2 with the Rev. N.A. Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
