Gregory Alan Allkins, 52, of Trumann, died Friday morning, April 27, at the family residence in Trumann.
Allkins was born August 22, 1948, in Watervliet, Mich., and had lived in Trumann for the past 20 years. He was a truck driver for the Hedger Brothers Concrete Company in Trumann; veteran of the U.S. Army and Vietnam War and a member of the First General Baptist Church near Trumann.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Wallkins of the home; two daughters, Lisa Blagg of Trumann and Misty Howard of Little Rock; one son, David VanDyke of Trumann; his mother, Betty Hennesey of Trumann; his father, Vern Allkin of Lexington, Tenn.,; two brothers, Lester Wadel of Hillsdale, Mich., and Jamie Allkins of Lexington, Tenn., and four grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday morning, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, with Rev. Darrell Miller officiating. A graveside service was held Tuesday afternoon at the North Shore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hagar Shores, Mich., with Calvin Funeral Home of Hartford, Mich., in charge.
Pallbearers were Gary Hinsaw, Jeffrey Lafarlette, John Higdon, Shannon Motes and Wayne Pilgrim.
