Everett L. "Red" Strong
Funeral services for Mr. Everett L. "Red" Strong, 67, of Jonesboro were held Thursday, June 7, in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Paul White officiating.
Burial was in Marked Tree Cemetery at Marked Tree with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Strong died Monday, June 4, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro of natural causes.
He was born Aug. 10, 1933 in New Madrid, MO to Shirley and Liddie Skelton Strong and had resided in Jonesboro for the past 15 years. He was formerly a resident of Trumann.
The retired owner of Everett Strong Masonry in Jonesboro, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the American Legion and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hendrix Strong in 2000, and his parents.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Joyce Huffman of Malden, MO; and three brothers, Edward (Bud) Strong of Belle Glade, FL, Ora (Jeff) Strong of Clarkton, MO, and Roy Junior Strong of Pacific, MO.
Pallbearers were Bob Hall, Dennis Veteto, Roy D. Strong, Dave Duncan, Paul Veteto and George Hall.
