NETTLETON -- The Trumann baseball team walked away here Saturday as champions of the Raider Classic. To get there, the team defeated Westside 13-2 Thursday. Revis Kemper hit two for four at the plate. He hit three RBI and one homerun. Zac Wilson went three for four at the plate. Alex Henry went two for three at the plate. Josh Harvison went two for two at the plate and received the win in pitching. On Friday, Trumann defeated Walnut Ridge 7-2. Tyler Goodwin received the win pitching by striking out 13 opponents. Walnut Ridge's two runs were unearned. At the plate, Kemper went two for four. Lee Cossey and Henry each went three for three at the plate. Cossey brought in four runners. On Saturday, Trumann defeated Buffalo Island Central 7-6 for the championship. Brent Maurizi hit the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh. He went two for four at the plate. Kemper went two for four at the plate and brought in three runners. Henry went three for three at the plate and Josh Harvison received the win in pitching by striking out 11 and giving up one earned run. The Wildcats improved to 7-2 overall.
