J.P. Morgan, 80, of West Memphis formerly of Trumann died March 18 at Beverly Heath Care in West Memphis.

He was of Baptist faith, a mason, served in the US Army in WWII and the Korean War, he was retired from Central Hardware and owner of J.P. Morgan BBQ in Trumann.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rosa Dell Morgan and Gordon Morgan, one sister Charlene Adams, and one grandson, Ronald Dewayne Grant II.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Marjorie E. Morgan of West Memphis, one son, Dennis Jan Morgan, Sr. of Trumann, one daughter Andralyn "Angie" Morgan Grant of West Memphis, two grandchildren Dennis Jan Morgan, Jr. and Jay Taylor Morgan both of Trumann and four great grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday March 20 at Roller-Citizens Funeral home in West Memphis, funeral services was Thursday March 21at 11 am at Roller-Citizens Funeral home with Pastor Tad Rogers officiating. Place of burial was Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Active pallbearers were John Meadows, Lynn Greenwell, Scott Taylor, Dalton Whitt, Joe Waleszonia and Bryan Morris. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Jones, Raymond Jones, James Wallace, Burness Holt, Manuel Huggins and Marlan Adams.

Memorials can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Mid-South Transplant.
