Bay awards student-athletes

Bay hosted its athletic Banquet May 6 at Western Sizzlin in Jonesboro.

For junior high boys basketball, Billy Vestal received awards for the most steals and assists. Bart Hogan received an award for the highest three-point field goal percentage. Derek McMasters and Justin Hutchison both received awards for the most rebounds. For the highest two-point field percentage, Hutchison and Daine Bennett received awards. McMasters received an award for the highest free throw percentage.

For senior high boys basketball, Cameron Campbell received awards for the most steals and rebounds. Byron Forehand received an award for the highest three-point field goal percentage. Brett Hogan received an award for the highest two-point field goal percentage. Ryan Prince received an award for the highest free throw percentage. Robbie Bollinger received an award for the most assists.

For junior high girls basketball, Amy Ballew received an award for most improvement. Emily McDaniel received an award for the most hustle. Lee Davis received the leadership award. Jessica McMasters received awards for the highest free throw and three-point field goal percentage. Amber McMasters received awards for the most steals, assists and as leading scorer.

For senior high girls basketball, Jodi Pratt received an award for most improved. Ashley Shoemaker received an award for leadership. Lindsey Stewart received awards for the highest two-point field goal percentage and for the most steals. Kim Bradford received awards for hustle and leading in rebounds. Jessica Moreno received awards for the highest three-point field goal percentage, assists and as leading scorer.

For baseball, Brett Hogan received the Outstanding Offensive Player award. Michael Nix received the Outstanding Defensive Player award. Davey Webb received the Outstanding Pitcher award.

For softball, Sarah Scott and Lauren Freeman each received the leadership award. Kem Walker received the infield award. Lee Davis received the outfield award. Ashley Ballew received an award for the most RBI. Ashley Shoemaker received an award for the best batting average. Jodi Pratt received the best pitcher award.
