Ida Othel Carman, 87, of Berwyn, Ill., died March 26, 2003, at the Victoria Manor Nursing Center in LeGrange, Ill. of natural causes.
She was born in Walnut Ridge and had lived in Berwyn for the past 23 years. She was formerly of Pocahontas. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Carman in 1993; one son, Jimmie Carl Carman; her foster parents, Sam and Clyde Sisco and her parents, John T. and Ida L. Tillman Raglin.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Kay Janecek of Berwyn and Carolyn Marsala of Plainfield, Ill.; one brother, Bud Raglin of Marion, Ill.; one half-sister, Lucille Gipson of Pocahontas; one half-brother, Roy Raglin of Pocahontas; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Saturday at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro with Joe Spangler officiating. Visitation was held that morning at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
