Heilman heads to ASU

Megan Ashlye Heilman of Trumann, Arkansas, a senior at Trumann High School, has accepted a Dean's Scholarship to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro next fall.

During high school, her achievements and activities included: Varsity swimming, THS Who's Who Most Dependable, Who's Who Among High School Students, Science Club, Student Council, Varsity Choir, Delta Kappa Gamma-Alpha Chi Chapter Scholarship, Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, and Trumann Leadership Development.

She plans to major in Early Childhood Development.

Her parents are Mr. Brent Heilman of Encino, TX and Mrs. Larra (Cole) Walker of Trumann.

ASU awards the Dean's Scholarships each year through a competitive process based on ACT/SAT scores and grade point average. They are available to Arkansas residents who have graduated from an Arkansas high school. The Dean's Scholarship covers tuition and fees up to 15 hours.
