Trumann's Lady Wildcats, who were on the road against Westside Thursday, lost

three games, 25-4,25-8 and 25-6, to bring the Lady Cats to 15-9, 4-4 in 3AAA-South play.

Alex Guthrie, Jessica Byrd, Kaelyn Benson and Lindsey Davis all served 4-of-4 as Guthrie and Byrd each added four digs while Caitlyn Brune had six digs with four kills and Benson had eight digs in the Wildcat effort. Amanda Byrd contributed three digs, four assists and a kill.

"The girls are in a tough conference, probably the toughest in the state, with Westside and Valley View at the top of the conference," said Trumann coach Cindy Martin.

"We played sloppy, and just did not get into the right frame of mind for the games."

The Junior Varsity Lady Wildcats lost 18-10 and 20-10 with both games ending on time regulations.

"Were in a tough cycle, but tournament play's coming up." Martin said.

"District's shortly and the girls are planning on making a run at the conference."
