MGBC plans meeting

Wednesday, April 12, 2006

The Maple Grove Baptist Church is hosting a community informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13 in the fellowship center of the church.

During the meeting the need for blood in the community will be discussed along with how each church can help.

A community committee will be formed to oversee all future community blood drives.

Bob Draper, donor recruitment supervisor for the American Red Cross will be there to help establish guidelines for the committee and to share the need of blood and blood products in the area.

In the past two years, MGBC has teamed up with the American Red Cross to collect approximately 100 units of blood. Each unit has the potential to help three people.

Those in need of more information can contact Donna Fagan at (870) 483-7990.
