Wednesday, January 9, 2008

The Pregnancy Care Center of Trumann (PCCT) is the first of its kind in Poinsett County. They are a faith-based non-profit organization whose goal is to extend God's grace to those facing crisis pregnancies. They can help answer the tough questions and provide accurate information about all of the available options. Their services are totally confidential and free of charge.

No matter what the circumstances, the Pregnancy Care Center of Trumann will share the kind of unconditional love that brings real hope, even in situations that seem so hopeless.

Their services will include free pregnancy test, friendly and compassionate emotional support from their trained staff, accurate information about options - acceptance, adoption and abortion - prenatal and childcare classes, post-abortion support groups, maternity and infant supplies.

There are several ways individuals can get involved with the PCCT including:

*Intercessors - Men and women who feel called to intercede for the PCCT staff, client advocates and clientele are encouraged to call. Call for available time slots.

*Client advocate - Interested men and women receive one-on-one training in client ministry at the Center. Daily shifts and commitment hours are open. Requirements include active church membership in a local body and a love for people.

*Resource organizers - Individuals needed to maintain maternity and baby apparel, nutrition and baby care products and other resources.

*Clerical help - Individuals needed to help with filing, mail-outs and other clerical tasks.

*Church liaison - At least one person from each local church is needed to share information about PCCT with their congregation and keep them informed about upcoming events, current needs, and participation opportunities.

*Boutique coordinators

*Baby shower Coordinators

*Baby bottle campaign coordinator

*Adoption coordinators

*Other - Perhaps someone has a creative way to serve PCCT. They are saked to call and share their idea.

Everyone is invited to the center's open house on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 20. The doors will be open at 4 p.m. for everyone to visit the facility and learn more about how the center connects with the community and share the love of Christ. Beginning at 5 p.m., they will host a celebration service, giving praise to God for what He has in store for the PCCT.

Everyone should mark their calendars, plan to join the open house and begin praying about how God would have them help.
