Stephan "Steve" Wayne Elrod Sr.

Stephan "Steve" Wayne Elrod Sr., 35, of Osceola died April 25, 2008 at SMC Regional Hospital in Osceola.

Born April 16, 1955, in Bassett, he was a former Gilster Mary Lee Manager, Osceola Municipal Golf Course superintendent and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Elrod of Osceola; his parents, Allan Elrod J. and Helen Jean Bennett Elrod of Bassett; one daughter, Amy Brooks of Wilson; two step-daughters, Tracey Parrish and Brittany Strange, both of Marked Tree; two sons, Stephan Wayne Elrod Jr. of Osceola and Andy Winkelman of Conway; one stepson, Ross Frisbee of Dyess; three brothers, Hoppy Elrod III of Bassett, Robert Elrod of Dyersburg, Tenn. and Harry Elrod of Joiner; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 -- 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1 at the funeral home with Brother Todd Vinson and Mayor Dickie Kennemore officiating.

Burial followed in Bassett Cemetery.
